Heres a pic of my MT sitting on A-spec with 245/45's. It's a great setup as its firm without being harsh. Has a BMW-ish quality, if that makes any sense.

no offence but it doesn't even look lowered, just the rear being lower than the front. maybe that same suspension on a AT will do it.

None taken, for some reason many A-specs tend to sit lower in the rear, but in reality I was not concerned with the lowering factor, but rather the handling and ride quality, which is night and day compared to stock.

hmm the front looks higher than the rear, i would go with tein SS instead so you could lower it more and still get a smooth ride

yeah im thinking handling more than lowering but only if it was just a tad bit lower in the front...i dont want it slammed either.....theres too many choices!!!!!!!! idk what to do!

i measured my stock ride hight today using tape from floor to middle of fender. indeed the rear is lower at 26 1/16" while the front is 26 9/16"

any1 got measurements for a-spec heights?

Out of curiousity, I went out and measured mine. It was exactly 26 11/16 in front and 26 7/16 in the rear. Bear in mind that my tire height is approx 25 1/4

The reason why it's lower in the back, is because its a A/T Aspec on an A/T TL. in order to get the front to go as low as the rear, you got to get M/T Aspec suspencion on the A/T TL.

Why would there be two different Aspec suspension for AT and MT if both will fit anyways? Is it because the AT Aspec will NOT fit on a MT TL?

But vise versa should be okay, correct?

AT is heavier than the MT, so the AT suspension compensates for this....but it compensated a little too much there-by making the ATs with the AT suspension sit taller. they will "fit" either, but if for some reason something goes wrong and its can be blamed on the suspension, Acura will not cover it. but there are many out there who have an AT that are riding on the MT suspension no problem.

Actually, mine is a M/T suspension kit on a M/T car. Just sits higher in front form some reason.

because M/T suspension on a M/T car will sit the same way as of A/T suspension on a A/T car. However M/T suspension on a A/T car will do the trick!!

As far as I know you can only get them separated if you buy used. The a-spec springs and a-spec shocks come together when you buy form Acura.

I bought the set but only installed the springs since I have Koni shocks. I left the a-spec shocks over at the parents' house and the next time I went over there they had been thrown away.

crap, my bad. i was thinking aspec kit and not just the suspension...which can be purchased separate. in my head i had springs/shocks but wrote just springs. jameson whiskey and sherlock holmes blu-ray got me distracted and confused

This is interesting. So I can essentially install the M/T A-Spec on the A/T with no issues? It'll fit 100%?

I'm sitting at about 26 7/16" in the front and 26 1/2" in the rear on 235/40/18's on an 04 MT. I couldn't find any markings on the springs, and they are not colored, so would you guys say I have stock springs, or the a-specs? Maybe AT a-specs on a MT?

i was considering an a spec suspension kit before but after looking at the pics spending $600+ for a very subtle drop isnt worth it. especially since the shocks that come with the kit are identical to the ones already on the car!

im now looking into Tein H Tech springs. These are meant to work with stock shocks and shouldnt require a camber kit. the drop is 1.2 all around. Anyone have any feedback on these?

Way different than stock. Especially if you add a rear-sway-bar upgrade. My car is like night and day.

my front height is 26.5" and I am on 235/45 17s. According to this page http://www.wallaceracing.com/tire-aspect-calc.php

the 245/45's are 25.68"
& 235/45's are 25.33"
the difference is about .35 inches or 1/3".

BUT you can't compare the diameter of the tire. You have to compare the radius of the tire. Because the radius is where you get the added heigth due to "tire dimensions". The top half of the tire doesn't matter. What matters is from the spindle to the ground. So the difference in the height due to these 2 different tire sizes, is actually only 1/2 of 1/3 of an inch. Or 1/6 of an inch. So he is only "realizing" 1/6 of an inch of added height due to a 245/45x17 tire over a tire like mine. (according to the url above)

However, my car may "look taller" because of the gap from the top of the tire to the fender.

really big picture
