shocks or struts going bad?
Not sure how the 2005 6mt is setup but I believe my shocks are going bad...when i hit bumps in my car it sounds like da da da da...hope you get hte pic wit what im saying but my neighbor tells me that it sounds to him like the suspension is wore out.
My car has 69.5k miles on it...and it was a leased vehicle so im guessin the previous owner was probaby hard on it.
At this point I am curious as to what I should do about replacing them. Should I stick with stock components and does anyone have a parts breakdown so I can see it?

a crude old test is to put all your weight on each corner of the car. press down on the corner as hard as you can. it should return fairly slowly to it's ride height. if it springs up quickly and bounces past the starting point, they're done.
loud, mechanical noises along with the car skipping hard over bumpy roads is also an indicator. that's the shocks not being able to rebound fast enough to cushion the car.
