Edit: OP, I don't see that your front tire wear is realted to your alignment, assuming the sheet you posted is good (i.e. the machine was porperly set up/calibrated).

I did not see in the thread (scanned it, so I might've missed it), but have you had your tires rotated? Is it possible you feathered them on the rear and then moved them to the front?
I dont think so, I rotated them 4500 miles ago, when i changed my oil, and i think it happened fast because when I went to the houston meet on 10/9 they weren't feathered.

Thats what I really dont get is how fast this happened I mean i probably drive 300 a week but thats not that much and not enough to wear them down that bad, im not sure maybe i got faulty tires but i'll never know. I really just want to get this corrected so I can stop worrying about it

IF your front alignment was out of whack, you can ruin a set of tires really fast.

Doesn't make sense to me, but I hope you get it figured out.

Yeah Im very confused as well. When you look at the read outs, (i have three from three different shops), they all say that my rear is totally out of whack and my front is fine, yet my front tires are toast. So hopefully acura can tell me what the problem is and i can get it fixed

Thanks

idk about the newer honda 's though, but the older ones with the radius rods indeed were adjustable for caster, but it was a bitch to change though (radius rods, or front crossmember had to be pulled completely out of the car to toss some shims on), so geneally not considered adjustable "per sa"

and do they consider even a little bit of play as normal wear and tear, cause on something like a honda, it should still all be tight (domestics are another story though)

yeah they would need to be tight since our cars are sporty with a firmer suspension. Will find out from acura tomorrow.

Talking I actually got good news from the dealer!!

Well took my car into John Eagle Acura today and they fixed everything for 120 bucks! I couldnt believe it. No camber arms necessary, the suspension was at its limit camber-wise but nothing was bent/broken so they put it all back to spec.

i'm just happy they saved me 350 bucks

thanks y'all for helping me out so much this probably would have been a way more time consuming and expensive ordeal, but now my car is how it should be and i'm happy

thats all it takes to wear tires out prematurely (especially toe)(btw the best is when you tell someone that there steering wheel is going to be off, cause a accident bent the knuckle [no money to repair it either ] and it also jammed the threads up on the toe adjustment, so you just use the other side and set the toe at zero both sides, for minimal tread wear)

btw how does the steering feel now, nice and consistent, and stable

and NP

not too bad of a tire, but alot better then those falkens though

but yes indeed, it's amazing how much a good alignment (even just touching the toe up) and some quality tires can make a difference in the handling of a car

btw pm'ing you

yeah i liked the falkens but these pretty much blow them out of the water. i can only imagine how nice it will ride when i put on some more comfort oriented tires since i don't feel like buying tires every 25 thou for my cowboy-like driving

don't get me wrong with buying tires constantly, but your life, and everybody's life around you depends on those 4 little patches of rubber on the road, so tires are not the best places to go cheap on...

but i would generally consider about a 40K mile warranty tire to be a pretty good compromise as far as tread life and grip goes, and you can get some nice tires for a resonable price too at that mileage warrenty

and you say your cowboy-driving, sorry to say but you gotta pay to play, if you want to drive like that (shit i get like 15-16 mpg, and i am happy when i get 17, cause of how i drive )

, or even an accord (since they share the same chassis as the 4th gen TL) and the fact that they are lighter too
