So i've only bought aftermarket rims once before and that was like 7 years ago. What are your thoughts on this, benefits? Should I keep the stock rims so when I sell the car in a few years I can swap the stockers back on and keep the rims?

Depends on what you can get for your stockies...if you can offset the cost of upgrading to aftermarkets...then go for it...if you have the room to store them...then keep em so you don't have to "mad dash" to find something to throw on later to keep your rims when you DO sell.

 

Some guys keep their stock wheels and tires for wintertime, as to not expose your aftermarkets during bad weather.

 

Yea, i've seen them sell on here for around $500 + shipping if not local and that would offset the cost of the new set a fair amount, but i'm torn between doing that and keeping them. I could always just buy a cheap set of aftermarket ones for a couple hundred off like craigslist or something if I trade the car in.

Being in SW Florida that's not as much of an issue for me

 

I keep my stock wheels as a backup in case of emergency

I kept mine for winter use with some winter tires also

 

ugh...i sold mine ACCIDENTALLY. when i considered selling the car, i had no stock tires to fall back on! DAMN IT!
