In a bad move a did a number on my front rim of my 2006 TL. Scraped it up against the curb. Some deep wounds. Besides parking lessons, is there anything I can do to restore or at least protect the finish from rust or whatever????

I had a small fender bender in which I gauged one of my wheels. The body shop sent the wheel to a local shop to be repaired. The shop did a fantastic job! The cost of the repair was $150 which is half of a new wheel. You can't tell where the repair was made. So I would look for a local wheel repair shop if you dont want to spend the $300 bucks on a new wheel.

well, it is not that severe..but will anything rust? Any protective coating I need to put on?

I made that same supid mistake. I have an 06 with tpms and was able to find a perfect wheel on e-bay shipped for $110. If that helps.
