makes sense then... i think you should try a few drags on stock rims and tires then a few with the slicks average out the two and see if slicks on a TL-S are really that much of an improvement over stock rubber.. that would be interesting to know

yea it would be nice to do 5 runs on each and average them out to see what the improvement really is from stock to slicks on a TL... A TL doesnt have crazy torque where you are spinning tires at the line like if you had a high torque V8 RWD where rear slicks make a lot of sense. Once you get off the line slicks kinda lose there advantage... I couldn't imagine slicks giving him that much of an advantage over stock on a 1/4 mile maybe .1 to .2 of a second?

Nice! 6/10ths reduction in the 1/4. You're quicker than a supercharged TL on street tire.
Have you run into any wheelspin or can you bring the launch rpm up a bit? I would think you could do 5,000rpm without it spinning much for a 13.5 1/4.
There's no reason you shouldn't be able to get a 1.8 or better 60' out of those. What tire pressures are you running? Those seem to like it in the high teens/bottom 20s.
