I'm in a pinch financially and need tires for my 06 TL. I received a used set of tires from a buddy but they're 225's vs the OEM 235. Would there be any real harm done to the vehicle if I run these tires considering they're 10mm narrower? Just need some input before I go ahead and swap them out. Thanks in advance.

If your in a financial pinch..............then no real harm to go a bit narrower. check to see if the load rating of the tire is adequate for the TL. the speed rating would be nice to have up to speed, as well, but if not then just don't racecar. diameter will be a bit smaller and throw off your speedo

for free these would be fine. my brother in law bought his TL used with 225-45 and they rode fine. slightly narrower but speedo wont be off that much (maybe 1-2 mph at 60).
