Rubbing wheels need help

Hi everyone
I have 8.5 by 20" with 40mm offset wheels tire size are 245/35/20
I've had the wheels about two weeks now and didn't have any problem until last weekend when I had three people in the car including myself. I've notice rubbing mainly when I make sharp turns towards the rear of the car only. Front seems fine. I checked the and tire to see if the rubbing is toward the outer part if the tire but did not see any marks on the tire or wheel. Anyone have had this problem and what would be the fix for it? I've was told to use a 1/8" spacer???? Look like the spacer should clear without any fender rolling.
Thanks for the help

the spacer will only increase the rubbing issue IMO... 'cause it's basically pushing the wheel outward more and then you'll be rubbing all the time with only you in the car...

Your rubbing is due to the body roll during the sharp turning... basically your shocks are compressing on one side changing the geometry of the suspension (i.e. camber) during the turn and hitting the inner fender...

you need to stiffen up the rear end with a sway bar or get more aggressive with your alignment settings with a camber kit...

it would also help if you give details of what suspension you're running (if any)... do you have an A Spec Underbody kit installed... etc... the more details you give the better the knowledgeable people on this forum can help...

^^ Agreed.

The simple solution is to keep your fat friends out of the car. JK!

Very true,

Also i went with 235 tires instead of 245 tires so that the side wall would be slightly smaller so i could drop it more!!!

It is actually .25" in diamater smaller overall!

If it is rubbing inner fender spacer would help.
