Rubbing
figure out what part of the rear is rubbing...more than likely, the bumper tab is doing the most rubbing. you can worry about the metal fender lip later... plus how wide are your rims? you might have over did it with the 235s.
Depending on the offset I think your problem is with the plastic bumper tab. Trim that off and you should be ok. Accommodating a .6" inboard/outboard increase should be no problem with the correct offset.

with a 7 inch width rim and 45 offset and your 235/45/17 tires, it is definetly your bumper tab that is rubbing not your rear metal fenders, so dont worry about it too much, just cut the bumper tab off where the bumper meets the rear fender, and it will take care of it...
