Rotors - thickness question
Hi,
I'm taking my car in for inspection (Pennsylvania) and they're telling me that my car will not pass because my right front rotor is worn down too much. They told me they measured it to be 0.907 inches and the limit is 0.910 inches. Is this at all true or am I getting taken for a ride? The Pennsylvania inspection regulation states the following:
I don't know what the original thickness of the rotors is, so I don't know how far they have been scored if 0.907 inches was measured.
Thanks for your help.

Code:
(x) The drums or rotors are scored deeper than .015 inches.
Thanks for your help.

Scoring is different than overall thickness. If you have a 6MT, then the service limit for thickness is indeed 0.910 inches. That's just Acura's service limit, not sure how it equates to your state inspection rules:

If they are at the service limit .. just change them out .. its not too hard and takes basic tools and a small bar clamp to compress the piston.
If its a base TL you can get the drilled & slotted for $90 shipped on e-bay.
