My 04 TL was in an accident, when a gardener didnt close his trailer all the way and when it opened all of his things wen flying out and I ran over and hit most of it, because there was no where for me to avoid it. The body shop guy said that since all the rims are totaled, that when he orders in the new ones, instead of powder-coating them the original color that he would have to anyways, that he will powder-coat them black for me at no additional charge, and since the whole car has to be painted, inside and out, that I can choose a different color if I want too. So even though I miss having my TL, things kind of worked out for me, because the body shop guy is being so cool about it.

well first off good to know that your ok. its nice to have a body shop guy that coo like that. so are you planning to change the color of your TL?

Ya, since the rims are going to be black, Im either going to have him paint the car black to match, or a charcoal color, still deciding on it.

Of course the shop isn't mad. Are you hiring a lawyer by any chance? Going to the Dr.'s?

Why don't you just upgrade to aftermarket wheels while your at it? And to properly chant the color of the car is a tough job. The painter must do the engine bay, all the door jams, etc. Just a thought..
