Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums and to the Acura community (Just picked up my TL a couple weeks ago) and I'm already itching to put some rims on it. I don't know the official color name but I have the "gunmetal" greyish color. Anyone have any good suggestions of ones they've used / seen? I'm a big fan of how blacked out rims look on these!
wheels are very personal.
there are tons and tons and tons of wheel manufactures.
I personally DO NOT like the black out look with the grey....what this means is; pick your own!!!
some brands....
XXR, WORK, VOLK, SSR, BBS, etc.
there are so many, you cannot expect us to choose for you on your own personal car.

Thank you for the brand suggestions. I get what your saying, rims are I very personal choice and maybe I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the possible choices. I'm more or less looking for people to post pictures of rims on there car so I can see how they look, and I like them I'll buy them! I didn't know about the black market though, so that's good knowledge.
instead of asking tho, it would be easier if you browsed...
it is overwehlming
I didnt know I wanted wheels until 5 years of ownership.
best advice is to wait and dont rush. rushing into wheels can be a big mistake, as not only do you have to consider budget, brand, color but also, width, height, offset...

I don't really have a budget, if I like them I'm going to buy them. I'm not looking to spend $2000-3000 but I'm looking to spend enough on a set of high quality rims. In terms of all the technicals, I don't really know. The base ones are 17x8's but I was thinking of maybe going up to an 18", but I would have to see how they looked first and see if I like the bigger wheels.

yes, you need to research!!
by rushing into something, you're going to regret it.
you need to know these terms or else you will get bamboozled.
I love my Continental DW 225/40R18. Very quiet road noise ran me $706 installed thru a buddies shop. Tires vary in price from brand to brand and from one installer to another. Do a good search on tires based on what you are looking for. All-season, summer only, winter only. Person opinion, but I will definately spend a little extra to buy Conti DW's again.
what the heck are your goals, Frank???????
what do you want out of a tire? all out traction? wanting them to last 40k miles? quiet?
This.
Every tire has it's strengths and weaknesses. Every tire is a trade-off. It all depends on what you want to get out of the tire, and what your budget is.
