Rims rubbing in rear
I bought a set of 350z rims from a friend and put them on, but I was having issues with them rubbing in the back when I go over a bump with someone in the back seat.
It rubs on the inside of the fender towards the back side where the radius straightens out.
I was wondering if aside from getting thinner tires (think it has 45) is there anything that I can do?
Also to determine if u have a bent rim (I'm experiencing some vibrations), is the best way to take off each rim, drive around and see with which one off the vibrations stop?

It may have some vibrations if the wheel it's not hubcentric, especially if you're feeling it around 40MPH or even 65MPH.
As far as the rubbing goes, you can roll the fenders oryou can get a more narrow tire (example: 245 instead of 275 - just an example). Possibly purchasing a camber kit and giving it more negative camber as well but I think a new tire size will do the trick just fine.

I have winter tires on stockies right now and was not able to find any pictures of the Z rims. They are the 2008 style painted dark grey (would like to professionally repaint them lighter). If I am able to find a picture, I will post.
Can you please dumb this down for me?

^you know the inside center circle of the rim? acura's hub is 64.1mm. when you put different wheels on a TL the hubs are normally larger than 64.1mm so most people will put a plastic ring, called a hubcentric ring, inside the rim which helps to prevent vibration. if u have vibration either u need rings, one of your wheels is dented, or you need to get all 4 of your wheels rebalanced.
1) get hubcentric rings from fleabay for <$10 2) take each wheel off of your car when u put the rings on and see if you can feel any dents 3) if that doesn't work get the wheels rebalanced.
are you sure you're running the right tire size?

I wanted to add a comment after I read wsupdog's comment as well.
As I stated earlier, vibration may be cause by the wheel not being hubcentric, which most likely is the case. But you may want to check the balance of the wheel too. There's a "static balance" and a "dynamic balance". Make sure they do a dynamic balance (wheel weights on inside and outside of the inner barrel of the wheel that requires sticky weights). Most places will just do a static balance which is weights only on the outside edge of the inner barrel but the static balance will only reduce wheel hop as opposed to wheel shimmer and/or vibrations.
Best of luck! I would try getting the hubcentric rings first and go from there as far as vibrations are concerned.

Sorry, The stock rims are the ones that vibrate, if that makes a difference or if i should still get these hub centric rings, not sure?
The Z rims on the other hand were fine.
Also I have gone through 2 sets of tires, so they were rebalanced once.
If there was a dent, would it be really obvious, or could it be something that was "invisible to the naked eye"?
