Rims Question
Ok, i went through the WHOLE Sticky post of wheel sizes, widths, offsets, drops, tires and everythign, and people were sayin all differnet things. I need a FOR SURE answer.
I am lowered on Tein SS coilovers, prolly 2 to 2.5 drop or so, and have a 99 TL. Need to know FOR SURE if 18x7.5 rims with a +45 offset with 225/40/18's will rub. Found some rims I might want and those are the specs. I also have camber kits front and rear, so if i have my wheels straight too, will they stick out too far for my drop? thanks a lot.
Johnny

they won't stick out too far at all..
but as for rubbing, yes FOR SURE it will rub with that drop.
You may be able to get away with trimming the bumper tab and that should eleminate the rubbing during normal driving, but you may still get some during hard bumps and turns.
What wheels are they? There might be someone with the ones you're looking for that already has them who just has not posted in that sticky thread.

Sorry Johnny, a FOR SURE answer does not exist.
Every wheel manufacturers have their own manufacture tolerance for their wheels. Especially for tires, the posted size (eg., 225/45/18) and actual measured size can vary a lot, even between different models (with same posted size) from the same tire manufacturer. That's why everybody is saying different things, because everybody has different combination of wheel/ tire/ springs.
So you'll need to pick a specific wheel and a specific tire and a specific spring and ask your question again. Don't just give out generic sizes. If someone out there has the same combination, then you'll get a FOR SURE answer. But very seldom there are others who have the exact same setup !!
