Rims Bent?
My car vibrates a bit when I'm driving 100km/h or 60mph. Its getting annoying
I got my wheels rebalanced but it didn't help, the discount tire guy said my rims are bent. Is it possible to fix it? if so how much does that cost?
Thanks for you help guys

^^If its in the center of the drum no. if its around the lip then yes.
discount tire might run u up 120 maybe. butttt.....
discount tire might be like american tire, they might offer you a price to fix it, but they will actually send your rim to another place and itll take a day or more. what you can do is find out who they send it to and contact them and that'll save you some chaching. American tire told me 120 i think, and said they send it out. i asked where they send it to(dont think they're supposed to tell you) but they did. went there and said they dont deal with customers dirctley because they're whole sale people...but they hooked me up for 80.

i believe the center drum can be fixed too, but it will cost around 100 bux. IMO if u can find a rim on ebay for a similar price might as well buy it. once a rim is bent and fixed, its more prone to bending again as the matrix is weakened by it bending once. it will balance out to zero by fixing a bend, but next pot hole ur screwed just my 2 cents

Yes, the wheels bend quite easily, or at least are the easiest to bend out of any vehicle I've owned.
I use a dial indicator, but to check for a bent wheel, jack up the assembly to get the tire off the ground. Get a pencil and place the eraser on the wheel lip and place wood under the pencil to keep it stationary. Turn the wheel and hold the pencil lightly so as the wheel can push it out at the widest point if bent. After one revolution hold the pencil and turn the wheel and you be able to see how much the wheel is bent, if at all.
As stated on another post, place the bent wheel on the back.
