Rim size from AofEparts

looking at his aspec rims it says this

18" x 8" jj (not 8.5" like the original A-Spec TL Rims)

doesnt the 8" measure the width of the tires?? and wouldnt that be better, so why would they change it. i know nothing about tires/rims so i could be totally wrong. wondering if they would still fit the TLs as the "old" ones did.

The 18 x 8 are the newer A-Spec wheels. The 04 were 18 x 8.5. The 8s will fit your 3rd gen TL just fine. I have some mounted on my 06.

It could be because the 8.5's were prone to curb damage, and maybe the 1/2" less will give some more protection.

Moving to Tires & Wheels.
