So I'm getting kind of sick with the OEM rims i have and being a high school/college student, cant afford any new ones yet haha..so i was thinking about getting the OEM ones painted black, gunmetal, or gold maybe? Idk, what do you guys think.

of course black... I think black on black is a great color combo, my second choice would have to be gold, I think that would look hot too

Yeah i agree..but i have so much silver trim on the TL that i dont know if it would look awkward? I was thinking about painting the grill black too so I might end up getting the A emblems golded if i go this route

I have seen some glossy black rims with a chrome ring on the outside (near the tire) that looked really good.

Oh c'mon...get some aftermarket wheels or leave it alone! haha The TL is too nice of a car to just paint the OEM wheels....unless they're your winter beater wheels or something.

If you can't afford ANY wheels, then I say paint the OEM wheels gloss black. BUT remember to KEEP the tires heavily coated with tire dressing. I CAN'T STAND black cars with black wheels and dirty grey DRY looking tires. YUK !!! Then blacken the front grill, BUT I WOULD leave the Acura "A" Chrome, NOT paint it gold.

These are my opinions and aren't guide-lines for YOUR CAR.

haah yeah, i mean im not in love with em, but they look alright. theyre 20x8.5. Black with polished lip. Brand new. I need to find a deal on some Volk SF Challenges for 500 haha

I painted my oem wheels and on a budget did it for about $50 total. I painted them with semi-gloss black and clear coated with satin finish. Turned out pretty good. I tried to get tricky and leave a small bead on the very outside edge that showed the OEM silver. The overall finish turned out good, but my outside edge is far from professional looking. Looks great from about 10'. I'll post a pic when I grow up on the 'zine.

If you have to, Go with the Gold. Black on black takes away from the character of the car! A Light bronze might be a heavy hitter also.
