Im a new member ... just bought my TL type-s a month ago... it came with some getto ass rims that i dont like, but for the price i couldnt help getting it... so my question is what does everybody think about remanufactured wheels???? im kinda on a budget and found a really good price for the tls wheels what do you guys think??? your would be great...

the only problem with reman wheels is the fact that once a wheel is bent and then straightened its a little bit weaker and could bend again ... but i think this is a decent deal if you wrap the wheels with a meaty tire so it will be added protection for the wheel

 

It's a crapshoot, but many people ride on fixed wheels and have no problem.

many places only deal with cosmetic refinishing...I'd call and talk to them before buying. i had planned on buying a set of refinished aspecs from a place and they told me that they only refinish cosmetic blemished wheels. i ended up getting a great deal from a dealer on a new set.

They were even able to get the 04 version (8.5" wide) and finish them in either Hyper Silver, Sparkle Silver, or Chrome. I believe they were around $950 shipped. I was going to go with the 04 version in the hypersilver.
