Question Recommendations on Aftermarket Brake Pads ...'07 TL

My wife's '07 brakes have begun to hit the sensors. I called the local dealer to price the front pads ... they are $60 per set. That sounds reasonable to me, but was I wondering if anyone has any recommendations for an aftermarket make that would be acceptable.

Rotors are in pretty good shape, so I'm just looking to replace the pads at this point. Any comments would be welcomed.

not a bad price.

as far as aftermarket, there is stoptech, duralast, hawk HPS, EBC (?) pads...these are the popular ones on here among members.

really depends on what you are looking for. i don't know how the dusting is on a base model without brembos. for me i have the brembos and the the OEM pads dusted like crazy. i went with the hawk HPS pads which have a longer life and a lot less dust for my application.

Go to rockauto.com:
RAYBESTOS Part # PGD787C $28.79
Use this code in "How did you hear about us" 2794E541593B
and get 5% off. Good through 1/19/2013.

Have used Raybestos for years, good pad, have this on all 3 of our cars.

I'm guessing the PGD536C would be the rear counterpart to the PGD787C ?

which brand? the hawks? tire rack.

stoptech can be purchased from execelerate performance (and maybe heeltoe and tirerack-it's been a while since i've been shopping for brake pads).

EBC can be purchased from heeltoe.

duralast can be found at the loacl auto parts store.

excelerate has a brake pkg for all 4 corners with powerslot rotors and stoptech pads. it's a nice deal.

you definitely have lots of options.

We sell primarily RB (Racingbrake) Stoptech and Hawk. Our HTSpec packages are all built with RB parts because we find them to be really awesome replacements for the stock stuff. For a package without rotors we offer a Stage 0 which is going to be a really welcome improvement over stock. It is made to eliminate the compromise in stock components that makes the car feel just a little less confident when you mash the brakes. I recently installed an HTSpec Stage 1 kit on my wife's MDX and the braking is much better now. The pedal is firmer and the car stops without need to push as hard.
