Cool Reccomendations on 18" wheels

Hey whatsup acura people, Im a wandering BMW troll (96 328ic Sport) :smokin: . I have a friend that has a decision making problem and a black 02 TL. He's looking to get some 18" wheels, and is looking to buy a wheel/tire combo package for around $2g's. I would guess, the most important criteria for him in order are,
1) Cost
2) Looks
3) Weight
I was reccomending OZ's (superlegs) or SSR (GT1) but he doesn't really like them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
The Due

I like them (as I told you before, I suggested them), but he said something about red-headed step children and he'll never get them and blah blah blah. I think some wierd looking kid he knows has them.
Mike, care to elaborate?
Anyways, any other suggestions? I know bimmer wheels, but know nothing about ac styling...
thanks

SSR's are so light they are almost impractical for road driving. They look great and are extremely light, but they bend quite easily. Many bimmer owners have used them and complained about their being too weak for road wheels (like my stupid heavy ass breytons I had). I would only get those as track wheels.

I have 18" Nakayama Phantoms (SSR GT1 knock-offs) on my white TLS. I think they look great; sporty and classy. So many compliments on them, too, from guys and girls, young and old.
With 235/40 Kumhos, they were $1,600.

You may also want to check out the sticky (specs) at the top of the wheels/tire forum and check out the eye candy, and also the gallery forum.
What wheels do you have on your 328?

I've had a bunch of wheels on my 328ic, I'll give you three pictures showing past to present-in that order
17x8 BMW e46 7-spokes and acs springs
Breyton Magic 18x8.5 w oem sport springs
Current wheels BBS RX 18x8 Bright Silver on oem sport springs

Which do you think looks best. I think I like the way it used to be best (oem e46 17s w acs springs)

Anyways thanks for the suggestions, just trying to convince my boy to get some rims and give him some options. Anyone else has any ideas, please post, its an 02 TL in black
Dope rims SimTypeS :wow:

I like the BBS's. For whatever reason, those stock wheels never did it for me.

I like this wheel, cause it's got a really deep lip... which is rare for our FWD cars, and it reminds me of the wheels they put on the BMW 5 series... click below

Another one of my favorites... but common as well....

....or

...or a Lowenhart "knockoff"

thanks for the suggestions guys.
Unfortunately his tranny blew last weekend @ 30,000 miles. Needless to say, he wants to set his car on fire with gasoline and dance around in circles. I'm trying to convince him to come to the dark side now bayerische motor werken........

Dude, that wheel with that offset wouldn't fit with a shoehorn and a tube of KY. It looks great, but will never work on our FWD car.

I really like my RH EVO C5s....nice looking wheels and fits the car nicely. Around that price range too, depending on what tires you decide to get.

Actually, in the magazine ad... they claimed that it's the first wheel on the market that's got a 2" lip on a 7" wide wheel... and was designed with FWD consumers in mind... I don't know what the offset is... but I did called a shop (I know, just one shop), and they confirmed that it would fit an Acura TL, 2nd and 3rd generations.
