Rear end noise.

I am a new member and also new to a 2005 TL with 72000 miles on it. I have a noise or drone sound coming from the rear end, it seems to be louder when going slow 25mph. The car came with cheap tires (kumho). This might be the noise I am hearing. I pulled both rear wheels and checked to see if there was any play in the bearings and all seems to be good and the parking brakes rub just a hair. Any suggestions on what it might be?

I have the same problem seems to be the right rear. I have an 06 tl with just under 60k

Swap the front and rear tires-- if the road noise decreases, it's tire-related.

i have the same problem now after installing my neuspeed supercup kit, got to banging around with a rubber hammer and it seems to be the rear shock boots rattling against the springs.minor prob, but do I dare duct tape it? don't really want to take it all apart again.
