Ranting.... (i never do this!)

i would try and have your teins adjusted to its softest settings and report back... sounds like they are too stiff, giving it the floating effect. Tires play a big roll in comf0rt as far as straight and curvy roads..... so getting softer, gripier, wider tires will help alot and also making sure the tire pressure is set correctly at cold temps(36F and 34R).

My suggestion is to pick up a set of Falken FK 452's from edgeracing.com and to have your alignment set to -1.5 camber 0 toe in the front and -1.0 camber 0 toe in the rear. That should make for a fun daily driver.

Obviously no one knows the real answer, so I will give it to you-
IT'S THE PAINT! Everyone knows that WDP cannot stay with the NBP! It must be hard going from the best to ...
NBP- FTMFW!
J/K! Get either the Goodyear F1's or the BFG Sport A/S!

ok but doesnt the FLOATY feel or action results from too soft of a suspension or am i thinkin about this wrong?

but if you mean floaty like it steered and feels like a boat, then there is no oscillation in the suspension, therefore you will need to soften up the dampers.

by reading op's post he seems to want something that ride smoother and F1 AS is not one of them. F1 AS responds to road imperfections too much. i'm not saying they are bad tires, they do grip really nice on wet/dry roads but it just don't fit roads where i live. i tried several different tire pressure setup too (from 36~45psi) but they still overreacts to road imperfections and car becomes jiggly.
also i did read all the ratings and tests done by various magazines and that's why i forked out $700 for these tires but simply its not for area with bunch of dips, potholes, rough surface, etc...

its not even so much the "smoother"
its just the car is always wiggling on the parkway... it doesnt feel solid, planted or grippy....
i wouldnt mind the smoother tire... but what i really want is a sticky, wide, planted tire.. i dont care about road noise too much.... road imperfections are definitely around in my area (ny) but i can live with that... as long as it makes the car more "planted" then these MXM4s

hey blackura! first id like to say i thought it was only me. i been to the dealership 2x to ask them to check out my power steering.
one thing i noticed is the steering wheel is super stiff and super sensitive, ANY hand movement translates to the car drifting to the left or right lanes. of course this is more noticeable at high speeds. and especially when u hit a pothole or debris.
another thing is the stock wheels we have are like bulgy when we get them filled to 35/32. they like to bubble so you are really riding on the center tread. i noticed this when my front tires dropped to 28 psi and after i refilled them to 36ish, they were all over the road.

I had about the same problem. My car felt floaty, even with the Konis full firm. To clarify, it rode firm, but seemed to have a lot of sway. It was all over the road, probably made me look like a drunk. I was about to give up, tried the usual things like air pressure, inspecting suspension bushings and components, two alignments. Then, on my third alignment the car drove like it should again. The last alignment showed my front and rear right toe was off nearly two degrees which is huge.
To the OP, I would go for another alignment from a low volume specialty shop, not a high volume place like Sears. The alignment that finally fixed mine was $120 and I was on a two month waiting list but it was totally worth it. I don't know what's involved with aligning these cars but it must be touchier than normal. Plus, with our semi-stiff suspension and low profile tires, alignments, especially bad alignment have a big impact.
There were three 3rd gens at the alignment shop when I brought mine in and this place does mostly domestic race cars.

did you have any audio add-ons on your blackura in the trunk?
my guess is that maybe (small chance, i know) the extra weight in the trunk kept the tires down.
and apparently the Michelins are bad, but are they really worse than the 06 stick tires?

try dropping your car down to the max your teins would go before you rub if you can, then you would have very little body roll and also be able to hang turns way better. idk? it works for me...

i drop my car to where it doesnt rub the fenders and it rides fine hanging turns with bumps in the road or not. the shocks might work less but its a give or take if you dont want that body roll.
