Arrow Quietest Performance Tire?

I'll soon be ready to get some new tires and was wondering about road noise of performance tires..

If you could please give your opinions on some of these, thanks.

Potenza S03 Pole Position
Potenza RE730
Pirelli P7000 SUPERSPORT
Toyo T-S1 Proxies
Dunlop SP Sport 9000

Any suggestions for other ones to consider are definately welcomed.

From some other member's comments, the Pirelli SS are kinda noisy, but I couldn't find info about road noise on the other ones..

I'm really considering the Potenza RE730, but some comments about it's wear are not encouraging.

I just purchased some Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. They're not exactly cheap, but they are supposed to be very quiet and pretty decent performers as well. They also have a VERY high treadwear rating of 400. Not sure if you're willing to consider an all-season tire, but they should (hopefully) be a good choice if you are. I'm getting them mounted tonight!! Do you get ANY snow where you live? If not, you probably won't need all-seasons.

By the way, the Pirelli P7000 SS are an all-season tire. The rest of the tires in your list are summer tires only. Didn't know if you knew that or not.

Here's a review of the Pilot Sport A/S vs. Dunlop SP Sport 5000 vs. Pirelli P7000 SS. Some of the other tires in your list might have been reviewed as well. Hope this helps:

The Dunlop SP9000s are very quiet for a high peformance tire. Tim and I both have them, so do a few others on the board.

The Toyo Proxes T1-S is much more quiet than the stock Michelins. Not sure how they match up with the others on your list.

My Bridgestone S-02's are quiet...I can only assume the S-03's will be too. Love these tires!!! Had 2 sets on my Z and now have a set on the TL-S. Great in the rain and great when it's dry out...SUCK in the snow (got caught in snowfall with the Z once).

If you want the quietest all season/performace tire, get the Yokohama AVS db.

I had Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole Position, new for 2001, for my former bimmer. It was THE best tires I have ever had.

Though some bimmers don't like the tread pattern it has, I personally like the S02 more than S03, it is the most technologically advanced & quitest tires u can buy. Sur, the price is HELL. And doesn't last long.

Good luck w ur tire shopping.

P.S.
U might wanna check Yoko AVS Sport. It was the 2nd best tire I have had. Love the look of tread.

Happy motorig.

I went with the RE730's on my CL. I haven't perceived any increase in noise. They do stick to the road a lot differently than the stock tires. The price was $140. at tirerack which was the most I wanted to spend for tires.
