Questions about SSR GT3's

Hey guys,

I just bought my TL-S a week ago and I'm looking to get new rims now. I was looking at the SSR GT'3s. I was wondering if anyone have any information on them. As far as quality of the rims...and whether the following sizes I want would fit (I do plan on dropping too..probably either with H&R Sport or Comptech).

18x8
18x8.5
19x8.5

I think these rims come in 49 offset for sure...not sure if any higher than that. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks alot guys.

I was reading through all the wheel spec's...and I think 8.5 is said to be too wide for the TL-S. Is that for the front? or both front and back? I was thinking of having 18x8 in front...and 18x8.5 in back...if the back is capable of taking wider than 8's. Please someone let me know. Thanks.

Why do you want to stagger the widths? Normally you will see staggered sizing on rear wheel drive cars...not FWD. Doing so will also prevent you from rotating your wheels. I would stick with 8" with a +49 offset.

Stanman is correct.

I have the 18x8 with +49 offset with 225/45 18 S-03's. I love the quality of these wheels so far. Living in NYC, I have hit some bad potholes and swore I've bent them but their still straight.

Having the 45 series does give me more sidewall to help prevent the rims getting bent but did rub the plastic tab in the rear with stock springs. Cut it off and It's good.

I have some pics in a Imagestation album. Just click the link in my sig

Edit....oops. I incorrectly wrote down 40 instead of 45:p

Thanks everyone for the reply. I totally forgot about having the issue of rotating tires...I guess I will have to stick with same width size.

TuffGong, I have seen your pics before..car looks absolute great. Guess my car will probably be like your twin brother...same rims and all....except I have the anthracite grey..hehe. Anyways...guess now I'll just shop around for prices...and see what I can get. Maybe 18x8 or 19x8. Most likely 18's though.

Tirerack also told me that I might have to roll my fenders and get 215 tires if I got 18x7.5 SSR GT3's. And that's without being lowered! They just say that to cover their a$$ just in case, and you can't be mad about it.
