Question on Type S rims

Hello,

It will be a noob question but I need your opinion. I can get new Type S replicas rims for around $400 and wanted to know if you guys think that they will look stupid on regular TL... Also, they are replicas so they are probably not an OEM quality. Are they worth $400? My TL is 2007 black on black.

Thank you in advance

the type-s is the same car as your base, it's a TL. with that being said, no, it wont look stupid if you put type-s reps on your car.

And to answer your other question; 400 for wheels is insanely cheap. So if you are happy with the quality and they roll then yes they are worth 400.

I bought 17" replica wheels for another vehicle from Ebay a few months back. Was pretty satisfied. One or two of the wheels had very subtle imperfections on the paint which was not visible at all from a distance, and it didnt bother me. They were all perfectly straight. If I dont purchase a Type-S anytime soon, I will do the same thing and purchase S replicas for my TL from that same ebay company

I'm probably alone in thinking the '06 wheels look the best.

Best looking 3G OEM TL Wheels imo:

1. '06
2. '04-05
3. Type-S
4. A-spec
5. '07-08

You are not alone. My dad prefers the pre-facelift rims as well :-)

maybe cuz my car came stock with the '06 rims that I'm biased, but I like the '06s the best too.

I think the older ones look too bland.
Best in my opinion
1) A-Specs Ebony
2) A-Specs Chrome
3) A-Specs Gunmetal
4) Type-S
5) '07-08
6) '06
7) '04-05
