Question for A-spec owners
I'm having an A-spec suspension installed shortly. Questions for those who had the suspension upgrade AFTER they purchased their 5AT:
1. Did you require an alignment shortly after installation, or was it done as part of alignment? I'd thought that the standard was to let the new suspension settle, then do an alignment. I am wondering whether this is different for a preassembled suspension like the A-Spec.
2. Is there any advantage to upgrading to the 18" wheels immediately? How was the handling with the 17" wheels? At this time, I'm planning on keeping my 17" stock tires--I have other financial priorities that preclude my spending $1400 on the A-spec wheels and another set of Falken Ziex 512s. The only reason I bought the A-spec suspension was because the right opportunity presented itself and I jumped on it before it disappeared.
Thanks!

I waited on the alignment. Alignment shouldn't be very far off, so it shouldn't be a problem waiting a bit.
I drove for a couple days on the new shocks/springs with stock 17's. A nice upgrade - sportier ride and better handling. Problem was that made me want to push the car harder, and the tires weren't getting the job done. Huge improvement when the new tires were added. Surprisingly (with the lower profile), even the ride quality improved.
