Question SPC camber kits and alignment
I just got my camber kits install and alignment. I thought when i have my camber kits install and align. I would feel like factory ride. I mean I wont feel like it going left or right when i let my steering wheel off. Is this normal to you guys or it just me? Please help me out. Thank you and have a good day.
Hi Calvin,
If the alignment is done right, you should track down the road dead straight. Some of the less qualified alignment people just do what the computer says. They will tell you that the car is "In Specs". You can have the left wheel at +.5 degrees of camber and the right wheel at -.5 degrees of camber and most machines will show you in the green (within Specs.) The camber kits will give the mechanic more adjustability to really dial in your car if he wants to. To me, it sounds like you got a bad alignment.
If you want a high end alignment, try Custom Alignment in Mountain View. They are expensive but worth it. I had my car done by them and had a performance alignment done. They put weights in the drivers seat to simulate me being in the car and it's the best alignment I've ever had. The mechanic spent a full hour with my car and tried three different setups until he was satisfied with the results. The car tracks and handles great. I learned quite a bit from the guys down there. Most of the Mechanics race in their spare time so they have real world experience and know what works on the street and track.
