Smile Question about TE37 offset with 07 TL's

I am so tired to do anymore research, I keep looking and searching on this forum and I still don't sure about the offset problem, can anyone help me out?

I am about to buy Volks TE37 18" or 19", but I don't want to get in trouble after i buy them.

I want 8.5 for the front and 9.5 for the rear, and I am going to get the Koni yellow + sport spring 1.75"F and 1.5"R at the same time. Please tell me what offset is good for my car and I don't want to add spacer or anything else...

There is a guy in this forum with this setup:
======================================
19x8.5 w/ 29et wheel offset (front wheels) w/ 245/35R19 Toyo T1R tires
19x10.5 w/ 42et wheel offset (rear wheels) w/ 275/30R19 Toyo T1R tires
======================================

And I saw a lot of people said that 38+ is the best offset?
What about if I want to go with 18", is there anyone here with any 18" wheels on their girl? please post me a picture I want to see hows it looks. I can't find a lot in this forum only few. sign...

Ask DREW or stillhere... D R E W is running volks that are prett aggressive. His stance looks tight. If you go 18... which some people have, you can have an even more aggressive fitment.

look up TLheaven. I remember he said +34 offset in a 9.5 wheel has the biggest lip on the TE37's but you would need to roll your rear fenders.
His TL looked sick

Thank you for giving me advice, but I am living in LA, all the broken road, I cant do the 19" as my friend told me it is very uncomfortable....and I don't want too aggressive as our car is not a racing car it is a comfortable car, I just want to make it looks good

Yes, thinking about the road situation in LA, I hope I can have 19" too but I cant.

18x8.5 +35 is the best fitment on this car... not too wide, not too oem

But I don't want to do all around the same size, I want 8.5 front and 9.5 rear...
do you mean 18x8.5 +35 with clear the OEM brake at the front?

9.5 in the rear would require a higher offset. I think.

If your dead set on getting the TE37s in 18s which in my opinion is going to look weak and your going to be disappointed in the overall looks of 18s on your TL then go for the following size and offset

18x8.5 +30 offset

18x9.5 +35 offset

^^Yeah those are perfect specs for just a "comfortable" look and feel. I have 8" in the front and 9" in the rear both with +33 offset and neither are even close to rubbing. I'm probably going to push them to +28 next summer.

D R E W probably has the nicest set of wheels on here that nobody knows about (just because he doesnt have many pic threads). Throw up some more pics D R E W!!

i'd throw up some nice pics if it ever stopped raining here in washington state... plus, i'm working on my winter beater lately. i picked up a 2004 jeep grand cherokee V8. it's my country-bumpkin winter beater.

just installed a 4in lift and 32" mud terrain tires. the TL gets to stay cozy in the garage for the winter.

btw, the TE37 9.5 width wheel won't give you a lip as large as the 10.5 width wheel. also, the lower the offset the more the face of the rim will be concave. don't expect any concavity with the +30 wheel offset or 9.5in width wheel.

Yes, I know 19" is better looking, but road in LA are suck, I wish I can do the 19" but i don't want to lose the comfortable feeling. Why +30 in the front? and different between +30 and 30+?

I saw someone said:
25 offset - need about a 13mm spacer (Not recommended)
35 offset - need 3-5mm spacer
38 offset - should not have issues

And I plan to order my TE37 from Japan (fujicorporation)
and they said: Rays TE37
F: 8.5-18 5/114 +40
R: 9.5-18 5/114 +35
Color: Bronze
Fitment: Honda UA6 (Acura 07 TL-S)
Availability: middle of January

So is +35 is deeper than 40?!! I am so confuse.

I think I know what you mean, is that mean +20 has a bigger lip than +30?

And can you tell me how low I can go with the front and rear? front you told me make it +30 and a lot of people in the forum said +38 is the best and don't need any spacer something.....I know you are PRO with wheel fitment please let me know....Thank you!!!

Yo, bro...

http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

Check that out... it's probably the best representation of offset/width/size comparison out there.

Just plug in some numbers and you'll see how rim specs change. The lower the offset the more aggressive it gets. When you go up in width you generally go less aggressivec (higher) on offset, b/c the rim width is already pushing it out a bit. Just check out that site... it should clear up a lot of things.

It all depends on what you want.... do you want the lip of the wheel to kiss the fender (flush)? Or do you want the wheel to slightly tuck so you can have better fitting tires?

Are your fenders rolled?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the +22 on an 8.5 and 9.5.. that's the best fitting on a 3G IMO...

Here is 19x8.5 +22 19x9.5 +22 WITH rolled fenders (225/35-19)....

Here is a 19x10.5 +36 which is the same exact thing as 9.5 +22 (7mm more aggressive than D R E W's set up) CE28N, with 245/35-19

That's 19x8.5 +22 in the front btw.

That should give you good insight on what offset sits where... but if you're not into getting the wheel to sit flush with the fender, offsets in the 30s are what I recommend.

didn't read that you wanted to stagger

Front: 18x8.5 +35 (245/40-18 Tires)
Rear: 18x9.5 +40 (255/35-18 Tires)

thats very much a good setup without modifications required

I'd do a bit of an aggressive setup and go with;

19x8.5 et+23 w/ 225/35/19
19x9.5 et +24 w 245/35/19

You should just get your fenders rolled. Its not that complex or difficult thing. Will not damage or break your car in anyway. I dont know why some guys here avoid it.

Did you have to roll the fenders for the wheels to fit? Do you think 18x8.5 +22 18x9.5 +22, will fit over Brembo's (04MT) and work without rolling the fenders?

bforbrian,

do you rub?

i have 18x8.5 +15's all around with some fender rolling on tein basics and rub on medium bumps...
i can't imagine 19x8.5+22's not rubbing?
if you don't rub, what kind of suspension are you running?

How fast are you going through tires with that setup. Talking about the setup with the TE37s on your car.

I think this is damn near perfect sizing. I came from having a gs400 where I was running 9.5 +12 and 10.5 +19. I also don't mind stretched tires and running decent camber. Just depends on what look you're going for.

So has anyone here run these with a 19x9.5 +12 out back? I'm trying to figure out if this is possible without much camber, as in, less than -3 degrees camber. Tires would ideally be 235s, but maybe they would have to be 225s.
