Question about buying new factory wheels...
I would like to buy the 17" 15-spoke Acura wheel and get rid of the 5-spoke ones that came with the TL. But, since I've never done this before, I have a question, which may sound silly...
What do you do with the wheels that they take off of the car? Do you take them home to sit in the garage or would the dealer take them back and give a discount on the new ones?
I'm clueless.......

You are better off buying the wheels online and then buying tires from a local tire place (i.e. Discount Tire, Just Tires, etc.). That way, you could save some money. As for the stock rims, I keep them and have snow tires put on. If you live in an area that gets as much snow as Chicago, snow tires are a must!!!

^^^Good idea. Or, if you don't care, sell them here (Black Market) or eBay. If you've been driving the car for a while (and I think you have), the dealer won't take them back as trade (or partial trade)...that would've had to have been done at purchase.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback.
I just really miss the 10-spoke wheels that were on my 04 Accord; I loved them and was sad to see them go. And the reason I want different factory wheels is so that my car can be somewhat "different". In hindsight, I wish I would have negotiated different wheels when I bought it.
And thinking of it... I guess I would have to keep the original wheels or sell them for much less than they're probably worth. I didn't even have the car two weeks and it was snowing and I had to pull up to a drive-thru ATM machine. So, since I wasn't aquainted with the car yet, I drove up too close to the curb and scratched the wheel. Thankfully, it is on the very outside of the rim, so by glance, you can't notice it; only if you were right up on it, could you notice it.
Anyway - thanks again for your insight! Hopefully, I'll be able to do "something".
