question?
I think Zodiak is using 245. That's THE widest I would go. I would recommend 235 as the widest, though. 235/40/17 sound right? Someone else can do the math, but that should be about the same overal diameter/ rolling diameter as stock, so it doesn't throw off your odometer/speedometer.
Can we ask why you want to go wide ? Sure it is more traction, but it also creates more friction and less aerodynamic... but, a meaner stance.
What tires are you looking at getting?

245 on 6.5"??? that is just asking for it. the tire wall would bulge like no other!!! the optimal fit for wheels tire setup is that your wheel is 90% in width according to your tires. and with 245 on 6.5" that is about 66.3% (1inch = 25.4mm). even an 8" wheel is only recommend to be used with 225~235 tires.

I agree with the last post. Also, I don't think it matter the diameter of your wheel, just matters the width. Also, you don't want to get too narrow of a tire, either. Too wide, or too narrow is just unsafe. Check out tirerack (lots of info), then go and buy your tires from Tim.
