Pulling to the right

I just replaced my passenger side front tire/wheel because it was bent. Now the car pulls to the right. When I still had the bent wheel/tire on the car, it didn't pull.

The other 3 tires has about 1-2K miles on them. Is it pulling to the right because of one new tire and 3 tires that are not new?

Maybe it is the new tire... i don't know if that would cause the problem or not... check the tire pressure, people here have told me many times that the pressure if off a little bit can cause the car to pull.

Assuming all the tires are the same. Right? If so cool. You may need to go get a front end and rear tow alignment.

All tires are the same. Falken 512.
3 tires have about 1-2K miles and one is new.

It didn't pull when I still had the bent wheel on the car. The bent wheel had the same tire mileage as the other 3. I decided to get a new rim with a new tire.

Will the car pull to the side where the tire has more air or less air? I think it's less air. Not sure though.

I'm guessing it's because it's a new tire and once the tire is broken in, it shouldn't pull anymore.

The car will pull to the side with less tire pressure.

Did you check the pressure? Sometimes new tire can cause that. Swap it to the rear and give it a few hundred miles and swap it back to the front. It should fix it.

Did you hit something hard that you bent the wheel? If you did, the alignment might be off.

^^^ What 260 HP said.

If you hit something hard enough to bend a wheel, then you definitely need to get an alignment. Chances are, the bent wheels somehow kept it in spec, and now with the new wheel, alignment's off.

I checked both the front tire pressure after I put the wheel/tire on.
If I leave it on the front, after a few hundred miles will it be fine?

I hit a pothole. Once I hit the pothole, the steering wheel started vibrating. The alignment was still fine. There was a small bent on the inner part of the wheel. It's hard to notice.

It should disappear after a few hundred miles.

However, by theory, you should install the new tire(s) on the rear axle. But knowing your other tires are pretty new, it shouldn't be a problem.

Was it checked by an alignment shop?

On side note, bent wheel (esp minor ones) usually can be fixed pretty inexpensively and still straight and true.

I just rechecked the pressure for the front tires. The driver side tire had about 2psi more than the passenger side. I lowered the psi to the same on both sides. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet. I'll see how it is now.

if you can, try swapping the front wheels, unless your tires are unidirectional. if it still pulls to the right, then you definitely need an alignment. i remember paying 40 bucks at belle tires for an all wheel alignment... they may check it for you for free.

in response to your tire guage thread, i'd stick with analog for more accurate readings. i use a digital guage just cuz it's more convenient, but do have an analog one.

Tires are directional. I'm gonna give it 100 or so miles and see if it improves.
