Problems with original issue Michellins

I have already lost 2 Michelins (less than 19,000 miles on my 2007 TL) to tears in the sidewall of the tire. Have I just had bad luck or was there a defect in some of these tires?

Certainly can't believe that the tires are to blame, but best to have a tire dealer examine the damage and make a determination as to the reason, e.g. pot hole, curb damage, etc.
