Problem with factory rims

I have a 05 tl 6spd on factory wheels. i have already replaced 1 wheel a year ago due to being bent. i noticed my car started shaking and i decided to go get the balance checked the other day and they found 2 bent wheels which one of those was the one i replaced last year. has anyone else had this much problem with the factory wheels ? is enkei that bad of a wheel?

That's a little bizarre IMO...shaking is annoying though...but with stockies, why not throw them on the back and put the others on the front. At least that'll buy you some time.!

Many stories about the OE wheels as well as aftermarket wheels becoming bent.

I've replaced on average 1 bent wheel a year in the almost 7 years I have this car. The aluminum they use sucks!

Here's a good place for buying refinished ones at a good price:

And now that's it's pothole season ..........

straightening works, but it also makes the rim a little weaker, so its likely to bend again. If i were to go back and do it again I would've just bought a new rim

Thanks. I just bought an 08 TL-S in need of motor mounts, tires, and has two bent rims. Saw a site from another member with new type-s wheels for $195. Most companies want $100 per wheel to straighten. So I've gotta decide if I'm gonna straighten two wheels or buy one for the same $...damn.
