price...
Good afternoon Azine... I have a question my friend Nasty188 can't write the thread because he's at work but he asked me to do him a favor and ask you guys about the price.
Action Tire in Lodi, Nj is charging him $200 To raise his car (tein ss) install the tire sensors and balance he wants to know if the price is correct.

Installing the sensors and balance is gonna run at least $25 a corner... $100...
Is he switching the sensors from his current wheels back to his stockies??? if so then that's gonna run him MORE between $30 and $40 a corner cause of all the labor involved... plus new regular valve stems...
Raising the car back isn't a huge deal... would probably take a guy 5 minutes a corner cause the wheels are going to be off during the wheel/sensor work... $30... are they going to include a wheel alignment???? cause once you change the height, the TOE and camber is going to change... and that's going to equal TIRE WEAR duirng the winter driving....
So $200 is a good price for a SHOP to charge to switch sensors from one set of wheels to another plus lift the car...
IMHO.... I wouldn't lift the car UP... for what??? he's going to be at the same height as he is now... cause the bigger tires on the 17" wheels equals the height of the tires he already had on the aftermarket wheels.... DON'T LIFT THE CAR UP... car looks so sexy DROPPED on STOCKIES!!!
