I didn't realize these were Konig rims until I did more research. They still look nice but I do have concerns they may not be as substaintial as the higher priced rims. EIther way... looks like they are now available from JLB via ebay for $850+ shipping. Here's the link ...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

BTW - I left a message with one person @ JLB to have Dustin (or someone call me too). Never got a returned call. Oh well... their loss

I weighed mine. These weigh 53lbs with the Falken FK452's (452's are probably the same weight as the 451's that revo has but the 452 is the newer version). FYI - My prior rims/wheels setup weighed 50lbs and that was with 95% of the tread worn off so I expect that the weight difference is less than 2 lbs per wheel. Not THAT big of a detriment to get to the 19's IMHO.

Weight of Privat Netz (with Falken 452 245/35-19 tires)

I weighed mine prior top mounting them. With the 245/35-19 Falken FK452's these weighed in @ 53lbs each. This may add some weight to each wheel but IMHO not that big of a detriment to get 19's on the car. I guess it's time to pick up a CAI so that I can make up the difference again. LOL!

PS - As a point of reference my prior rims/wheels setup weighed 50lbs (Voxx 17" 245/45-17's) and that was with 95% of the tread worn off so I expect that the weight difference is less than 2 lbs per wheel vs. what I had on there beforehand.

I think they were a little bit lighter (if I recall correctly). Something like a 1/2 a pound or so. The original Voxx thread is probably in here somewhere. I'll look for the original details.

Revolution, nice ride mannnggg!!! By the way, did you get a discount from future purchases by letting them showcase you "bad-ass-style" in their auctions for the wheels? You da man!

I love those rims, but unless I have someone else willing to clean them for me on da regulah...then no way! I'm going with the Maya wheels before the warm weather hits. (no, not the STM - the lookalike). Or I will go with iForge. Probably the RT5. I want it in black though. I have seen it on here in diamond black, but I want it blacked-out! 19in too, because like ndabunka said...it's for show! Being ostentacious is innate bro!

Because I need 17in for the winter set-up, I'll just keep rolling with my chrome OEM stars, but when it gets warm...so will I!!! Again, nice ride man!!!

Week #2 status update - My car is not lowered at all and does currently rub over major bumps and VERY hard cornering with the 245/45-19's. Looks like a more substantial rear sway bar is going to become a requirement. At this point I can't see how you other guys lowered yours without rolling the fenders unless you guys are running the 235's?

Yep, running 235's all around...if I recall correctly. I'm lowered a good bit, but I don't hardly rub only if it's a big bump/dip and I have a full car.

Yep, only very large bumps WITH a normal load in the trunk (clubs and/or people in the rear seats) but it sounds like yours with the smaller width still rubs as well. Do you have an RSB on yours?

Correction of above post - My tires are 245/35-19, not the 245/45-19 mistakenly posted earlier.

It rarely rubs, only on extreme conditions, and even then, I'm able to control it. You might be better of with rolling your fenders if you plan to stick with 245's.

So, I guess the moral to this story is that dispite earlier claims, the +30 offset "may" cause rubbing (depending on what tires you have, the drop, if you roll the fenders, etc). Even so, I still think these wheels are a good value. I'm going to do a little fender rolling myself when I put my CAI in and then will report back with results. Only time I rub is under fairly unusual conditions so hopefully the rolled fenders will resolve it alone otherwise, it looks like I'll need to taughten up the suspension somewhat using RSB or possibly even different suspension. The A-Spec may be the key as it doesn't drop the car too much and stiffens up the suspension a bit (hoepfully enough). I'm not in a hurry to drop another $650 on the suspension though so I may just try and do this will a slightly stiffer set of springs with a VERY mild drop. I wonder if its even possible to use H&R and only drop .75 instead of the standard 1.2?

A-spec barely drops it...and it drops the rear a bit more than the front IMO. I would go with A-spec springs..and koni shocks. The koni shocks have notches up on the shocks where you can adjust the height a bit as well. I would leave the back as is..and the front at the lowest setting to compensate for the a-spec sag. I think that would provide the best ride stance, while keeping the ride harshness to a minimum.

Looks like you missed the part where I stated that I wasn't in a hurry to drop more money into the suspension. Sounds like you'd have me buy both the A-Spec system as well as a separate set of Koni shocks as I've never seen anyone on here sellign A-Spec Springs by themselves. I'm certain it does happen but don't know of a source (Getting the A-Spec itself can even be a challange). Do you have a set of A-Spec Springs available? That was one of the reasons I was listing the H&R springs ALONE. I know the shocks may wear prematurely in that type of set up but the reality is that I would not be droping the car much and therefore (in theory), the shocks shouldn't wear too prematurely.

I've decided to go with the Tein High Tech's. Just collecting pricing now. A modest drop, modest cost and similar in feel to the A-Spec setup (from what I hear). This should keep the price down and still allow me to get decent life out of my OEM shocks.

Aznbo - Why the change of heart on the Privat Netz? I know you went a little out on the limb in getting the wide wheels in the rear but I thought that was what you wanted? If that's not working out, why not give JLB a call and see if they would take your two 9.5's in as a trade in for two 19x8.0's to simply get away from the stagger effects?

I'm gonna keep my Netz for a while, but the end goal is a set of 99B's. I just can't justify $2K rims that will end up annhialated from my daily 80 mile commute up/down I-95.
Looks like a little fender rolling is in my future too.

Do you have them yet? or are you still fence sitting?

I got the Netz/Falkens/TPMS ready to go for springtime, and I'll keep them for the summer at least. I really would prefer the 99B's, but would be crazy mad when I curb them in DC. At a $175 a rim, a little curbage won't hurt so bad.

I couldnt agree more Kennedy. If I had that type of commute Im not so sure I wouldve done it either.

But I did keep my stock rims for anything that may come up.

Im sure you know how to but I had a few tricks my buddy and I did when we rolled mine.

If you're interested shoot me a PM

You can be ANYTHING you want to be....It's the Internet, right? I am a Playboy model/brain surgeon currently living in Milan with 3 other porn industry girls. We are looking for a 30 year old guy to come stay for a week or so... LOL

On a serious note, I will be handing down my 04 TL in a couple of years to my son. Of course, but then it will only be worth around $18K or so but it will still be a darn nice car for a 15/16 year old (this way I get to "keep" it in the family and can even "play with" continaul mods (maybe a SC once they get the mapping right)...l

Not really a change of heart. I still love the netz, but I kinda want to go with an all flat black rim. (the new ronjon's made a huge impact on me).

As far as staggered effects, there are none. I have 245's in the front, as well as 245's in the rear. I'm aware of how my car handles and it's limits. Having the staggered setup, has not one bit changed the way my car handles. Both wheels have 245 (mm's?) of contact point, and if someone tries to argue with me that there are a few more mm's of rubber contacting the ground b/c the rear is stretched...i think you should be driving an F1 car if you know your car's physics to this extreme.

I love the staggered look.

I guess I didn't realize that you had the same size tire on both rims. Interesting approach and you are right, it probably handles just like all other TL's ANY you got the big lip in back. I think there are a few guys on here looking for rims so you should have no problem reselling you rims on here. You'll probably only loose a few hundred. I think Revo had his up for $1,100 if I remember correctly. I don't hink his were staggered and the 9.5's cost a little more (didn't they?) so you should probably be able to get $1,300 for yours (or so).

The RonJon is a good wheel though so I can understand that move. The pics of your NBP was one of the things that helped me decide on the Netz. Sorry to see you move on.

I love the staggered look.

azn, u've got mail.......!

I just ordered a set of Netz with the exact same specs as yours and I'm curious...how deep is the polished lip for an 8 in. wide rim w/30mm offset? is it at least 2 in. or close?

Revolution SignWorks, do you have any pics like this one but are from the rear more. I want to see how much clearance is left between the rear fender and the wheels. Thanks.
