Damn, you drive a lot!

I bought the TL Dec 30, 04 and it's approaching 13000 miles. OTOH, I bought the Accord May 30, 06 and it's passed 2000 miles.

Big props to JLB for a INSANE deal!

19's staggered, with 245's all around and a little bit less than a finger gap front and rear.

Guys - After reading your thread I've decided to pick up a set of these for my NBP 04TL. Although I would LOVE to use JBL, I am on the right coast and it probably just wouldn't be practical but... I would like to know what you guys paid for the completed set ups so that I have that info to deal with when I go into the local stores. I am a firm believer of telling a dealer what figure I need them to match and then walking out if they decide not to do business. However, being a small business owner myself, I want them to also make a small profit so that they will still be there the next time I come into their shop. Could rev or audio send me a PM with some more specific details? Thanks. Bunka

Since these are 19's what does the EXACT weight matter anyway? Isn't the WHOLE point the fact that they make the car LOOK good? I've got a set of voxx's that are lighter than the original 17's. They looked good and weighed less (but they are still 17's). You either want the look or the performance (If you want performance, ANY 19" is the WRONG wheel 4 U). The majority of the weight is in the TIRES themselves anyway so I "guess" you could get the 19's and put some ridiculosly skinny tires on it (skinner ones would weigh less...get it? The other thing about sknny tires is that they do better in snow (according to some of the guys over in the 255/40/17 thread) Just do like I did and make a decision (Called the reference today) and stop asking about the weight... Sheeshh! LOL

Besides - The heavier, the better as they are less likely to bend when you hit a poithole, right?

Question and request for aznbo187

Your Black TL looks super nice with those wheels. Can you post some off-angle pics as well (I only see the one picture here in this thread). Also, yours looks to have a larger lip. Did you get 9.5's all the way around or did you buy a staggered setup? If you got the staggered or 100% 9.5's what offset did you use in the front? In the back?

Since my 04 is nearly paid off, I am thnking about buying a set of these rims, the carbon fiber engine cover (if I can still get it), blacking out the front grill (like another forum member recently did) and doing a few other things to keep me interested in this car a little longer. Of course, I DO have to swing by the Benz shop before the week is out. Hope I can resist moving to a CLS55....LOL

Forget the offset, go with the CLS AMG! That thing is gorgeous!

Anywho, the rims are staggered, 8 in the front, and 9.5's in the rear. The front's are 30 offset, same as revolution, and the rear I forgot which ones they were.

I will get some new pics soon.

Thanks for the details. Is there a reason you didn't just get the 9.5's all the way around? I like the "deep Dish" look of the 9.5's but maybe there would be a rubbing issue if I tried to put them in the front as well? As far as the CLS55... I think it's out of the price range with the best deal I've found sitting around $72K or a little more than twice the TL. Backing out the current value of my 04TL of around $25K (I have NAVI), it would still leave a BIG hole in the monthly pocketbook and I just can't seem to convince myslef to have a car payment over $600/monht (for ANY car) so it looks like I'll have to see what I can do to make this ride more interesting. I still like my TL but the wife has never been real pleased with it (even though she liked it when we first got it). She's fairly short (5-foot tall exactly) and the seats are not comfortable for her so she never drives it (part blessing there I guess). Thanks forthe update and Ill watch for the updated pics..
