Possible answer to break squeaking

Car: 07 TL type S

First, let me explain my recent experience.

1. brake pads wore out so went to go change them.
2. recommended new rotors so switched them out at the same time. (26K) with Napa rotors and project mu pads.
3. squeaks started a day later.
4. shop grinded the pads down and the squeaks went away for a day... again.
5. changed pads out again at 38K because i couldn't stand it any longer (ebc green stuff) -i checked my previous pad and a couple mm was brand new around the edges. realized then what the problem was.
6. squeeks started again and now at 44K, i'm trying to change them out again.

Been researching and found out that almost to ALL sites have the base rotors/ 6MT rotors the same as the 07-08 type s rotors.

Finally found the site that showed that the 07-07 type s rotors were actually larger.

Just wanted to let you guys know who are experiencing squeaks to check the rotor and pads are compatible and you get the right parts.

Or, if you haven't, coat the outside of the pads with anti squeal lube and give it a try. Normally, if only noticeable under light application, the pads have a tendency to move inside the caliper and therefore the pistons rub on the pads causing the sound. Under heavy brake application there will be no noise as the pads are held in place by the brake pressure.
If you’ve already given it a try…………………….

already tried that =(
Friend with experience of about 10 years of fixing all our friend's cars confirmed that it was the rotor size.

Went rotor shopping and if you check, a lot sites list the type s rotors 11.8ish when it's 12.2.

Shame on someone that would even install the wrong size rotor, and to think that someone would grind down the pad lip without even checking the reason, very poor. I'd change mechanics. However, the reason for the noise is still pad movement inside the caliper. Bet if you stomped on the brakes the noise wouldn't exist.

Years ago NAPA had engine mounts listed as trans mounts, so I called, still listed improperly.

try removing your wheel and re-torquing it down..even with hub centric rims they some times get a fraction out of center putting more uneven stress on the rotor...
