Just bought a used 06 TL and theres a popping when i turn the wheels in either direction. only while going slow might i add. Well i went to the tire shop, they looked at it and said I need a new rack and pinion set, talked to my buddy and he said it couldnt be that because its not leaking anything. If anybody could give their opinion on it I would highly appreciate that. Trying to find out what it could be before i spend any money.

im having the same issue ive replaced inner and outer tie rods and both sway bar links

I was recently told that it was the rack bushing, you can find it on rock auto for about 15 bucks.

Tie rods or ball joints. Not 100% sure

Had the same problem. It was my upper ball joint. When i took it out, it was so flimsy, it should be very hard to move by hand. No more popping/clicking when turning wheel.
