Planning on dropping my car 2-1/2 inches, but need new tires

I want to drop my car but I need to buy new tires first. Should I buy a lower profile tire then the stock ones thats on the tl? What size of tire should I buy that would look good with it dropped 2 1/2 inches? Or should I just keep it the stock size? I plan on keeping the stock rims when I drop it, just until I get the money for better ones. Thanks for the imput.

If you are keeping the stock wheels, just get the stock tire size...235/45/17.Then later you can aqdd spacers if you wanna bring the wheels out more...

remember fellas, you could always go to
http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

to calculate tire sizes.
you'll need to know the stock size which is 235/45/17

the main goal is to keep rolling diameter the same, so your speedometer isnt off.
