Pirelli P Zero Nero's handle great in the snow

Just had our first inch of snowfall here in Chicago. The Pirelli's did very very well. They cut through very well and the car handled very well in the fresh snow. I seem to remember my previous Kumho's handling about the same. I have the ultra-high perf. all season Pirelli's.

Hmm. I have the Pzero Nero MS on the 18" wheels on the RL and I thought they sucked. I was sliding with no traction whatsoever. I am getting dunlop wintersport m3's for the stock 17's.

Wait a bit untill the temp get really cold and more snow and you will hate your tires when they will be hard like wood.

Handling is one thing braking and turning to avoid an accident is another thing.

If you are above physics law then we should call you ''GOD''

Few feet less in braking distance can save your life or someone else life.

If you re able to buy a TL you can afford of real winter tires. My opinion.

Re-read your post and realize how stupid some of it sounded. I purchased UHPA/S tires b/c I like the look of the 18" rims, and hate changing rims each season. Thanks for the physics lesson, I forgot most of 8th grade, it's a good thing we have you on the forum.

too bad your experience wasn't as good as mine. I drove Kumho Ecsta ASX throughout the entire last winter here in chicago, and they handled very well.

I think you can buy 18'' winter tires. If you like performance tire for summer you should like performance tires for winter.

May be i was to direct, but even if it's a question of look it's not a reason to sacrifice the safety.

The bad thing is that you try to convince some people that an UHT is very good in snow and for winter.

I will be very happy if it was the case because i will buy only one set of tire.
In certain country it's illegal to drive without winter tires in winter, do you think it's just a marketing point ??

I just wanted to be more ''scientific'' in a certain way, it's not because you feel it is easy to drive in 1'' of snow that it's safe.
