Pirelli P Zero Nero
I'm interested in the answer to this as well. I just purchased the Pzero Nero's in size 245/30/20. I had ultra high performance Yokohama Parada Spec 2's on my old coupe and those wore through in under 3 summers. I do drive pretty aggressive though eheh. If I can get the same or longer from these I'll be happy :-)
I know the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S have a 40,000 mile warranty and the Toyo Proxes have a 40,000 mile warranty as well...which is pretty good for high performance tires (but both are all season so not Ultra High Performance). I have had PZero's before and am getting Proxes this time. I had the PZero's on my Jetta before I sold it and the tires were wearing quite well - meaning not wearing down too quickly, and they were fantastic tires as well.

I was looking into tires last week. I have decided to go with 245/45/17 Toyo Proxes 4. I was also considering Avon 550 and PZero Nero. I will get you an update once they had been installed and driven on for a few days.
As far as warranties are concerned. It is my understanding, during my research, that any tire UNDER 50 series will NOT have a warranty attached. I could be wrong.
I am going to back to Toyo's website and try and locate that info again.
Happy shopping. A local shop here in Cleveland will do everything (dismount, mount, tax, disposal, Alignment, free rotation for life, etc) for $640. That is the best I have found even going the internet purchase and having them installed locally.

I think the 40,000 mile “warranty” is really a wear rating of 400.
I have about 30,000 on my PZero M&S and expect to get at least 5000 more. The tread is not very deep even when the tires are new, and this caused America’s tires to refuse to rotate them after 27,000 miles because they were “worn out”. 3000 miles later they are still not down to the wear bars yet.

I've been running Bridgestone Potenza RE750s (ultra high performance summer tires) but the loud droning and the low wear is starting to bug me. I really want a good all season this time around, so I'm thinking of the Pirelli Nero M+S tire as well in a 235/40/18.
How is the tire's noise, wear, and performance on your TLs? I have about 23,000 miles on my Potenzas and they are pretty much done. Still could go a little bit more since they're not down to the wear bars yet, but they are close! (Maybe 1mm left)

I'm running Toyo Proxes for about a month now and I think the tires are a good choice. Noise is negligible as compared to the stock ELs and ride quality is good overall. The true test would be this weekend when I drive from NJ to Chicago. I'll post a review when I get back.
I got them locally for about $690.00 mounted.

The PZeros are quiet, handle well and have good wear.
If you can stand comparing a lot of numbers take a look at http://home.comcast.net/~jherick/TL/tires.htm
I "standardized" the results of the tire rack tests and prices. If you just compare a two or three tires it gives you a lot of insight into cost and performance.
Personally I'm tire of the the "Ultra high performance" stiff ride and will probably try a touring tire next.

What is the best price people have found for the Pirellis?
Lore:
The question is somewhat unanswerable without knowing the size you want. For example, if you are looking at a more common tire size in the Pzero Neros the price will probably be lower because they produce more of them. However, like in my instance I went with 245/30/20 which isn't a very popular size. I ended up paying $320/tire through dropstarwheels.net; which seems high but it was the lowest price I found shopping around online. More popular sites were around the $270/tire range.
I just checked Tire Rack and they are asking $343 per tire for the size 245/30/20. Another tip is to purchase your wheels as a combo with your tires because you usually get a good hookup for doing so versus just buying tires or wheels separately. That may not apply in your situation but I think it's good advice nonetheless.

Sorry, I had mentioned it in an earlier post but not in that one. Thanks for the tips -- I need them in a 235/40/18. The cheapest I found was Discount Tire Co. for $208 a tire, which seems pretty steep. I'd like to have them knock down the prices a bit, but I'm not sure how I could get them to do that without another pricing source.
Any suggestions? Tire Rack doesn't seem the Pirellis in that size, unfortunately.

Shopped around, best price quoted so far was $191 a tire installed (tax included in that price) for the Pirelli Nero M+S in 235/40/18s. This is at an America's Tire Co so they'll do the lifetime balancing/rotation. With this data point, what other prices have you guys seen?

Yeah, I know the difference between the Nero and the Nero M+S. Tire Rack now has the 235/40/18s available at $143 - wow, that's pretty cheap. Comes out to approximately $152.00 a tire after shipping.

Another very happy Zero M+S driver here. I've gotten so far 21,000 on them, about 1/2 of which is highway driving. The tread depth currently is 6 to 7/32. I rotate them every 5K. The original tread depth is either 10 or 11/32. (You can check the specs on TireRack.com.) The current depth makes me figure I'll get about 35K out of them -- but by the time I hit 30K later this year it'll be getting close to winter. I will probably replace them at that time because I don't want 4 or 5/32 of tread going into the winter.
I am extremely pleased with these tires. They are surprisingly comfortable, very quiet initially and still no more noisy than the EL42's, they stick to the road really well unless you're an absolute freakin' maniac
, and they STILL at 21K resist hydroplaning BETTER than the EL42's did when new. No issues with a harsh ride -- it's better than it was with the EL42's except if the temperature is below 50 F -- then they get a bit stiff but not too bad. As far as snow, the TireRack reviews are mostly positive, but we only experienced one significant snowfall in MD this year, and that was on a weekend and it melted away substantially by the next Monday.
When I replace, I will probably use these again -- or I might try the Avon Tech M550 AS. I'll cross that bridge later....
NEway, I'd go for it if I were you! Great tire for $130-odd. Many other happy Zero drivers on here, too. Just search!

The best I've found as of today is $725.
I've had the PZero's M+S for about 2K miles now and can say that the rear tires still have the rubber "needles" that are sign of still being new and can say that in the past month we've have had torrential rain and these bad boys do not know how to hydroplane, even when I try....
, now I wont go into the driving last year about his time with the Turanzas....

That said, you could line up the two tires on a number of factors and find each one besting the other in certain areas, just like any other two.
Falkens cost less.
Ride comfort may be a toss-up.
Dry traction is probably a toss-up.
Wet traction -- ?? all I can say is the Zeros are awesome
Noise profile -- the Zeros should be quieter for longer
Snow -- again, not sure here.
Tread Life -- I'd bet on the Zeros but it depends a lot on driving habits and rotation schemes.
If you search this forum for Falken Ziex 512 you should get a number of hits, and you can see what others are saying, especially those who've used 'em.
