Pilot Sport PS2 or Nero M&S?
Time to get new tires for my 04 5AT on stock rims. Living in Southern California, I don't need any snow capability, I need pretty good dependability in the rain, and excellent handling in the dry.
So I've narrowed the field down to the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or Pirelli PZero Nero M&S.
Advantage Michelin: Dry handling. Tire Rack says even better wet handling than Nero? Can anyone confirm wet handling with the PS2?
Advantage Pirelli: Treadwear and price. M&S designation seems to imply better handling in the muck, but I'm confused by Tire Rack's test results.
So I'm wondering if anyone has good experience with one or both of these. Are the PS2's really any good on very wet roads, like we just had this week?
One of the things I really dislike about the EL-42's is that they howl during hard cornering. I'm hoping these tires won't do that.
