And the piggy goes WEEEEEE! around the corners.
I never had the mula to purchase cool cars, much less mod them.
Now that I do have the opportunity, I'm finding what I like about the TL and how I can improve the "fun" factor.
I do not enjoy excess speeds of 100+, AND def. not on the streets.
What I do enjoy is whipping the car around corners.
I recently purchased the Progress Rear Sway Bar.
I first installed it and put it on the soft setting. It made the car feel firm. Switching lanes didn't feel as sloppy(if you could call stock sloppy).
I had read all the reviews about going around corners and making the back end swing out, BUTT I could not reproduce this.
yesterday morning, I switched it to the stiff setting. What a difference. Not in everday driving. But as soon as you punch it through a corner, you can feel the back end wanting to escape. I dont want to say that its easy to control when sliding, but you do get the hang of it real quick.
If you're looking for a mod that will greatly improve handling, pick up an aftermarket RSB.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not liable for the fun that might ensue.
Also, not liable for any curbs or walls that you might slide into.Just sayin

^You could wait until you get your coils, then try the stiff setting. I have had mine on the stiffer setting for a little over 2 1/2 yrs and no problems yet. <almost 1 yr before putting Koni'/H&R sports on, and 6 months aftr the type-s frt bar went on(2 yrs ago). If I remember correctly IHC said that if you run a stiffer than stock suspension, the swaybar mounts should be OK, but running the progress on stiff with stock 5AT bar, your are putting more stress on the mounts, which is off concern. Correct me if I am wrong....
Glad you like it Justin! I know you have an MT, so your front bar is larger than the stock 5AT. Have you installed the H&R springs yet?

I did not upgrade the end links, but will consider the MOOG's in the future.
as its really simple to take off/replace.
I'm not worried about the swaybar mounts. As I understand, its not the cornering that will tear it.
Going over bumps/inclines at an angle causes high stress on one end of the bar, resulting in a broken weld. All the the threads of broken welds only happened to one side, not both. Making me believe that the above statement is true.
I've changed the way I drive and am more cautious around inclines and speed bumps.
further more, if I'm not willing to pay I might as well not play.
to add one moar point, the car isnt a daily.
Also, just bought Nitto NT05's. waiting for them to come in, and then MOUnt!
in the future, I plan to drop my ride with springs and koni yellows, further protecting my sway bar mounts.
splr04, The H&R deal did not go through.
