Paint Stock Rims
Hi well i have 04 aura tl and it comes with chrome stock oem wheels and i was wondering is their any tips to paint them matte black and will it be hard because its chrome.

Honestly I would just plasti dip them. Dip is removable if you don't like it and dries with a matte black type finish. It's a much better than using spray paint, especially if you don't like the outcome.
Just make sure you use index cards between the rim and the tire so you don't have to worry about peeling overspray off of the tire.

if you want to paint them black you will need to sand the chrome 'away'. If you want a matte black look I would suggest what the person above said (Plasti-Dip). If you want gloss black then you can still go the plasti-dip route (But would need to buy their glossifier online) or go the longer, more difficult route of painting the rims black with primer, paint, clear-coat not to mention the preparation steps (cleaning, wet and dry sanding, etc)

This is the first and last time I will ever agree with plasti dip... But if you wanted to paint them you can get a paint prep that etches into the chrome to make sure it wont flake. You no longer have to "sand off the chrome" to make it stick.
