Overnight flatspotting on Conti DWS?
Recently installed conti dws on my 2004 tl and they seem to be flat spotting overnight. While the install experience was regrettable, I think they are ok as I do not have any vibrations or shimmy up to 85 mph. Is anyone else having this issue? The car generally resides in the garage at night.

are they losing pressure? any leaks?
temps are dropping like crazy and obviously that will lower your PSI.

As for your question.. .I have never noticed any flatspotting, even when I parked overnight in the snow, or when I left the car in the garage for a few weeks while on vacation. But then again, my garage is insulated, so I don't know...
But I heard most high performance tires, (particularly ones with nylon cords) will flat spot when it's cold.
Also, where are you getting air? Most gas-station air compressors have so much condensation in the tanks, that the nozzle will actually spray out water with the air. Water vapor in the air, will make pressure variation in your tires swing wildly with temperature. When I got my own air-compressor, and a $10 in-line dryer (to remove moisture), the temperature/pressure variation in my tires was waaaaay less...

think about it, the dws have a soft sidewall, if the pressure isnt high, they will sag and develop flat spots. keep the pressure up and there will be no sagging and no flat spotting. my 245/35/19's are @ 37

All 4 are at 36 psi right now. They are not losing air, just checked them yesterday after not checking for 1.5-2 weeks. And I have an air compressor in my garage, so I assume the quality of the air is good as it has never been a problem in the past. I honestly thought they rode too rough when I originally had them at 38 so I immediately took them down. I will bump all 4 up to 38 or 40 pounds and see if it resolves the issue and will update here. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

This morning I put all four tires up to 40psi cold. They actually feel better all ready and the car sat for at least 40 hours before when I pumped them up this morning then drove it. Feels better and they were not flat spotted. I'll report back after a few more days to see if this fixes the issue. Thanks for the advice all.

The increased pressure seems to have fixed my flatspotting issue. The ride is not nearly as bad as I remember it being when I had initially pumped them up to 40...may be because they are broken in now.
Thanks all

This weather wreaks havoc on tire pressue. Just keep an eye on it.

I got 235/35/19 and I'm running 42F and 40R. I emailed Continental and told them my specs and that's what they came up with. With all that said... I will not be buying the DWS anymore. Prolly food for stock tires definitely too soft for my liking. Car feels very uninspiring to drive or corner with.
