Is overinflating tires bad?

Recently I started filling all four tires with about 36 PSI because I figured I could go longer without having to refill them again, does anything happen in terms of excess wear, performance, etc. if you fill them over 32 PSI

Usually people put them to 34 when the go to the track. You'll probably experience excessive wear on the inside of the tread, and a much harsher ride.

Yes, I wouldn't do that, especially when is sounds like you're doing it out of laziness and no other reason.
