Onlinetires.com reputable?

I have searched this forum and others, as well as google. I cant seem to find recent reviews about this company. And most I have found (from a few years ago) seem to be pretty negative. It seems the consensus is to call to confirm stock and place the order over the phone if you want to avoid any hassle. If it matters the tires I am interested in purchasing are Continental Extremecontact DW 235/40/18 and the total cost ($636) is about $70 cheaper than anywhere else I could find. I will gladly pay the extra $70 to avoid problems, but I was hoping someone might have some more recent experience with this company as to help with my decision.

Never heard of that site.

I got lucky and got a cheaper deal at America's Tires. So I gotta ask, is that $70 including shipping + tax?

Yes. The total including free shipping to my home and no tax comes to $636. America's Tires is called Discount Tire in my area and they want $793.87 "Total out the door price". Granted that includes mount and balance but its still about $160 more. Im sure I can get them mounted and balanced for a lot cheaper than that. Tirerack has them for the same price but charge for shipping $70.96.

Discount Tire will price match anyone! Usually mount+Balance+Tax is $30 a wheel, so $120 of what was quoted was installation. IMO discount tire has taken care of me for a long time.

See if they will price match Tirerack and also try to get them to budge on the road hazard insurance! I found it well worth it on my 760 and 3G TL!

I bought super cheap tires for my corolla from these guys and it all turned out good. Pay thru PayPal if you can to give you a little extra protection.

It's been a couple of years but I bought my Michelin Pilot Super Sports from them. They were the best price to be had even including shipping across country. I placed the order via phone and had no issues whatsoever.

Yeah, I was unsure so I just went with tirerack. I really didnt want to deal with any hassle. Plus tirerack offers the road hazard protection which is nice. And shipping was super fast. Too bad im waiting on tpms sensors now ugh... I just want to put my new wheels on already!

There is no doubt with tirerack. I have bought quite a few tires from them over the years. I can't remember the specific reason why I went with onlinetires.com for my PSS. Might have been price or size availability, just can't remember.

I bought Federals from them with no issues. The 2 big online tire co's don't carry Federal tires and onlinetires price was fantastic. I'm impressed with the Federal 595s as well. I'd suggest checking them out. They do run pretty big though. The 225s I got were wider than the 235s that were on the car already. Something to consider if running a low setup.
