Once again, another fitting question...

I've been looking through the wheels sizes, and fitments and cant seem to wrap my head around it haha. plus the internet here in Afgahnland is slow so. Looking at getting new rims and tires for my 04 TL(AT). Here they are, http://www.arkdesign-us.com/r8-wheels should i go with a 18x8.5 235/35/45 or a 18x9.5 235/35/40??? I plan on getting her dropped 1.5 or 2.0 in the front and 1.0 - 1.5 in the rear. I just dont know what size rim and tire would give me the best appearance. Thanks for the help guys, cant wait to get home and get working on my whip once again. Thanks in advanced!

First off thank you for your service

Sorry but I think those wheels are hideous. Have you considered any others?

For fitment, it all depends on the offset of the wheels. Do you know what they are? My A-Specs are 18x8.5 with a +45 offset. Also, I think you're a bit confused on the tire sizes. You have 235/35/45 and 235/35/40, when it should read 235/35/18 or 235/40/18. First number is width, second number is sidewall profile, and third number is always the size of the wheel. Running a 235 on a 8.5" wide wheel will be fine, but on a 9.5" wide wheel they will stretch a bit.

You're welcome, and YES i have considered looking at other rims haha. I still have some time left to make a decision so, wanting to have them waiting for me when i get home so. Ya I have been reading up on tire fitment and rims for the past 5 hours, my brain is sorta melting down. So a 235 will stretch on a 9.5 so i suppose you would stick a 245 on a 9.5? And i mixed the last number with the offsets so it would be a

235/35/18 - 8.5x45+ or a 245/35/18 9.5x40+

with a min-max of 1.5 - 2.0 in the front, and a min-max of 1.0 - 1.5 in the rear. Dont know how it would look with yet :\
