Offset help

Okay I've searched and searched and only made myself more confused.

Rims will be a 19X8 multi piece 5-spoke.

What offsets can I expect for a good size lip? 38??

Do not want staggered.

Any help is much appreciated as I need to order soon since they take a while to get.

Sorry, car is 07 Type S.

With a 19x8 you should be fine with et 38. You would not want to go any lower than that. I have 19x8.5 with et38 with aboiut a 2.75 lip.

Question for you. Are you, or have you lowered it at all? I am having fairly minor rubbing issues with a Comptech drop with 245s

Not lowered yet, but I will be adding a TEIN SS kit at the same time.

I don't plan on taking the car down a lot but would like there to be a small gap.

Do you think your rubbing issues have to do with the 8.5" width? What are your tire sizes/brand?

Thanks

I am running 245/35 R19 Bridgestone Pole Positions. If I could do it again I would either have gone with a 19x8.5 et40 or 45 with the same tire. I am no expert, but I think you may have some rubbing issues with the SS and an et38. However, part of my rubbing issues are do to the a-spec kit.

My recomendation, go with a 19x8.5 et45 with a 245/35 19 and the Tien SS and you will be good to role with no problems. Hope this helps. But please remember, I am not an expert. This is only from my experience. Best of luck bro

you said multi-piece wheels... right???

Are they going to be custom making the wheel for you??? If so, why such a narrow wheel 8"???

since you have a type S with the big calipers in the front... you are going to need a HIGH DISK so you're not gonna have much of a lip... believe me I know...

did you considered that he has a Type S??? there is no way he could fit a 45mm or 40mm offset while still retaining some lip and clearing his big breakes in the front... well, unless he goes MUCH wider...

In order to give TrevorT advise here... we need to know what wheels he's looking at??? what are the available wheel disk types??? Is TrevorT stuck with the 8" wide wheel??? with this info... we can help you better...

"cause there are various parameters to consider when an offset is calculated... it's not black and white... 'cause one wheel design with "X" offset spec can clear the BBK and another wheel design with the same "X" offset spec does NOT...

Sorry, it will be a 8.5" width. Racing Hart is the manufacturer and yes it's a multi-piece wheel. I'm not sure on the wheel disk types but will try and find that out.

Thanks for the help so far guys. It's not easy with this car. I remember 10 years ago buying wheels seemed so much easier!
