I think the offset was in the mid 40's.

The best tire for any rims are the plus sizes. Each stock tire has a "plus" size which will give you the next size rim while keeping the handling characteristics the same and the overall diameter equal to avoid rubbing.

Our stock is 205/60-16 so the plus 1 size is 215/50-17 and the plus 2 size is 225/40-18 making those the recommended tire sizes.

So for 18's go with the 225/40 series. You could go to a 35 series but your speedometer would be uncomfortably off.

Happy Hunting.

That's just it. The stock setup has an Overall Diameter (height of the whole package) of 25.69 inches. That's 205/60-16 on 16 inch rims.

The plus one size has an O.D of 25.46 and the plus two has an O.D of 25.08.

See, the bigger the rim diameter, the smaller the tires sidewall become and the O.D hardly changes at all.

That's why those tires are recommended because the rolling circumference is the same and the speedo won't be off.

Don't forget that when going to 18's, the gap between the tires and the fenders will increase causing the car to look funny. You should look into conservative lowering springs when upgrading.

Tim's site wasn't meant to sell wheels. He said he didn't want to sell wheels so I didn't design for it. It still works but its pretty crappy. =/

There is no good wheel site on the internet, anyone who has ever tried to find wheels knows that. The don't list all the information... it'll be missing offset, or price, or maybe width, etc. If its not one thing its another. I don't want to email every damn website just to find out about what offsets certain wheels come in! No site out there lists Altstadts in 19"s. I was sad for the longest time because I thought they only went to 18"s (stupid wholesalewheel.com) until Tim told me one day they came in 19"s.

I swear I could build such a great wheel site!

I think he was looking for shocks, too.

Hey Nate, I'll help you with the research if you want to do it.
